March Edition

Original price was: €5.50.Current price is: €3.50.

Rural Pursuits Fishing – Hunting – Shooting December March – May edition.

Following on from the first edition of Rural Pursuits, the second edition follows a similar pattern.

Articles on Dog Trials, Fly Tying, Pike Fishing, Biodiversity projects, Game and Conservation Club Focus, Red Grouse Conservation pieces and much more.

Once again the writers are experienced and, in previous lives, have submitted articles for other magazines.

The writers currently reside in Ireland, UK, Belgium & The USA, bringing a massive amount of knowledge with them.

What started as an idea has now developed into a second edition.

I have reached out to the sporting organisations that encompass these pursuits, and some have taken the steps to contribute.

Keep an eye out on the social media channels to see where the magazine can be purchased in store.

Thanks to everyone for their custom and support for the first magazine.

60 Years a Gamekeeper

USA
Back in the 1960’s USA when I was growing up, 16 gauge shotguns were fairly common. Adds touting 16 gauge shotguns said they “carried like a twenty and hit like a twelve”. Back then there were loads of bargain priced bolt-action and single barrelled shot guns around.

Game Cover Crops
When we look at the requirement of pheasants and partridges in particular post release, do we take into account how we can improve their “holding capacity” in our club areas or parishes?
