A new Political Party for Rural Ireland

On September 16th 2023 a new Political Party was launched at the Killeshin Hotel in Portlaoise. They came from the four corners of Ireland to a well attended meeting to hear speakers’ presentations on Food Security, Carbon Sequestration, Methane, Recycling, Nature Restoration Law, Banking, Accounting of Emissions and of course, The Farmers’ Alliance Party itself.

Fishing off the South East Coast of Ireland

Day 2 again was perfect day for the boat with flat calm seas; we decided to go for a few of the more specific to target species. The baits for the day were fresh peeler crab, rag worm, lug worm and mackerel with three up and three down rigs with varying hook sizes depending on the species we were targeting.

While game populations in the east had already been reduced as the country expanded westward, with a lack of understanding and a belief that the number of animals in the west was limitless, populations of big game and many birds dropped precipitously.
