Is Rewilding a Good Thing?

Rewilding is the current buzz, it’s a tool which is now being used to help different species of plants or animals survive and in some cases, there is talk of trying to reintroduce some species such as wolves that have been extinct in our country side for many years come back to our fields and hedgerows. Rewilding would also see vast expanses of land return to their natural state.

From my first days on the canal, I was always fascinated by Pike, they were the monster from the deep, the unseen predator capable of pulling a child into the water and eating that child alive, or so my father would often preach to me, looking back it was obviously a tactic used to prevent me was venturing to close to the water.
